Preliminary Budget Reviewed
Susan reported on the latest changes made to the 2013 Preliminary Budget. The Library is scheduled to meet with the Budget Committee Nov. 29 at 8:15 PM.

Librarian’s Report
The building has been very expensive to maintain this year, constant repair costs for heating and air-conditioning, one elevator malfunction, and the roof is leaking probably around the chimney flashing.
Susan has drawn up a Capital Improvement Plan for painting the old part of the building.
Rug cleaning estimates are in and $1,000 added to the budget for cleaning to be done next year.
Whereas circulation for August and September was down compared to last year, it was up 22% in October over last year’s figures.

Upstairs Reorganization
The upstairs reorganization project continues to go well. The china has all been inventoried and readied for sale, but china is not in demand now so resale value is low.

Locke Collections
We reviewed the court filing of the inventory of the Locke Collections.

We signed the manifest and adjourned the meeting at 7:00 PM.

The next meeting is Monday, Dec. 3rd at 6:00 PM.

Respectfully submitted,
Nick Noyes
